RECYCLING SURVEY
Recycling Options for
Residents of Pine Lake
Currently the best option for recycling is to take your recycling to the
Prairieville Township Hall.
The bin sits in the parking
lot on the 1st and 3rd weekends of each month. You can see a
complete list of acceptable items at the Hall. There is no fee for this
option.
A minimum of 100 residences would have to sign up for curb side pickup. There are two companies that have agreed to pick up our recycling if we reach that minimum number. Republic Waste Management (BFI/Allied) would pick up once a month and the cost would be 8.00 per household. Best Way would pick up once a month, always the last week of the month and the cost to each household would be 4.00 a month.
Best Way Disposal is a local company and I believe the majority of the residences on Pine Lake already use them for trash removal. However I understand they have issues with some of our narrow private roads.
We are still negotiating with both companies for waste removal as well as access to some of our narrow private roads. Once we have the best option to offer, we will share that information with you.
